Chris and I met up with September couple Susie and Gary at the formal gardens of The Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown on a sun-shiney Sunday afternoon.  Smiling and posing was no problem at all for this wonderfully happy and easy going couple who not only worked all day (Gary) but also left a major gardening project (Susie).
We enjoyed learning more about their plans for a small ceremony followed by an intimate luncheon at the gorgeous Alfred’s Victorian in Middletown and topped off with a pig roast later in the day.  I am confident their wedding day will be just as full of laughter and joy as their engagement session!  Chris and I look forward to spending another sun-shiney day capturing their big celebration!

Dana & Robert’s Engagement

Written by Guest Blogger and Lead Photographer Extraordinaire Heather Casey

It is always fun to explore and find new places to have photo sessions at.  It is even better to find a place that is 1) gorgeous, 2) unique and 3) owned by a fantastic couple!  That pretty much sums up the Inn at Westwynd Farm in Hummelstown.  When Dana mentioned she would like to have her engagement session at a “rural” location, this B+B came to mind.  Luckily the one owner, Carolyn, welcomed us with enthusiasm.

Whitney and I met up with Dana and Bob and their adorable little pup, Cassie, on a perfect spring day.  Using the B+B and attached working horse farm as a backdrop, we captured some amazing images.  Dana and Bob are so laid back and were up for anything we threw at them (even walking through some questionable horse fields in flip flops!).  They genuinely have fun with each other and I can’t wait to see what is in store for their wedding day!!

Aubree & Nicole 04/13/2013

Say what you will, but there is nothing better than two people in love.  Cheese aside, it’s true.  Love birds inspire both each other and those around them to flourish in their own romantic areas (PG kids.. PG).  Aubree and Nicole are no exception in my opinion and not just because they’re two of my very favorite friends but because through thick and thin they’ve been through some of the hardest times anyone could imagine and came out on top, in love, and now very happily married!

Jason and I had the pleasure of being guests at Aubree and Nicole’s big day so our fabulous Lead Photographers, Whitney Hart and Scott Bostjancic, along with one of our awesome new apprentices, Nicole, rocked out the photography for these lovely ladies!  Aubree and Nicole.. or Coleslaw for short.. had the most gorgeous day for their outdoor ceremony and reception at Rockfield Manor (http://www.rockfieldmanor.com/) in Bel Air, MD and hired one of the best entertainment companies in this area, Klock Entertainment (www.klockentertainment.com) with DJ’s Sean and Bryan to lay down the fantastic tunes.  And there was Pie so Mr. McClain was eccstatic!  Overall a truly gorgeous and heartfelt wedding and a kick ass (oh yeah I went there) party to celebrate the day!

Comic Collection

I’ve talked earlier this year about DIY couples and my amazement of the details- Teresa and Jon created spectacular and unique décor for their comic book reception theme.  I can’t even imagine how long it took these guys to put together all of the details but everything pulled together fantastically!  We also lucked out on a gorgeous early fall day for their outside ceremony at Whispering Pines in Carlisle!  Thanks for the awesome time and congratulations to you both!
