Spring Engagements 2015

WOW!  We had an amazing Spring engagement season this year!  Lots of creative couples and fantastic weather is the perfect background for gorgeous imagery!

Camille & Rob chose downtown Harrisburg for their setting which we took full advantage of the remaining snow for a few fun creatives!SpringEngagement_021_MelissaMcClainPhotography

Kaitlyn & Brian also had some snow on the ground for their Founders Hall Garden session.  I love that they included their gorgeous pup, Koosh:)SpringEngagement_022_MelissaMcClainPhotography

Kate & Douglas rocked engagement style with their State Street engagement session.  Seriously one of the best groom engagement looks in our opinion!SpringEngagement_023_MelissaMcClainPhotography

Samantha & Michael.. OMG.  Just hands down one of my favorite fashion focused engagement sessions.  We had a perfect session at Hershey Hotel.SpringEngagement_024_MelissaMcClainPhotography.jpg

Courtnay & Nick chose to Troegs Brewery for their location which was fantastic both inside and out. The barren train tracks next door were a unique touch!SpringEngagement_025_MelissaMcClainPhotography

Taryn & Nick picked a perfect day and a perfect location to showcase their high school sweetheart love.  The Masonic Gardens in Elizabethtown is one of our favorite location recommendations! SpringEngagement_026_MelissaMcClainPhotography

Sarah & Tom’s Engagement

Weather is always a consideration when planning both your wedding and engagement session aka why winter sessions are so rare.  Usually by March we’re pretty safe- things start to green up a bit, the weather starts to warm.. and then we have the unpredictable PA weather and our cold blast seems to dwindle.  Thankfully Sarah and Tom were flexible and open to their brisk end of winter session at Masonic Gardens in Elizabethtown.  Jason and I quickly discovered that not only were Sarah and Tom awesome to work with but damn can these two pose naturally.. but hey.. you be the judge:)  We’ll see these two again in October for their Blue Ridge Country Club wedding.

Chris and I met up with September couple Susie and Gary at the formal gardens of The Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown on a sun-shiney Sunday afternoon.  Smiling and posing was no problem at all for this wonderfully happy and easy going couple who not only worked all day (Gary) but also left a major gardening project (Susie).
We enjoyed learning more about their plans for a small ceremony followed by an intimate luncheon at the gorgeous Alfred’s Victorian in Middletown and topped off with a pig roast later in the day.  I am confident their wedding day will be just as full of laughter and joy as their engagement session!  Chris and I look forward to spending another sun-shiney day capturing their big celebration!

Sweet.  Simple.  Fun.   That is how I would describe Mark and Kelsey’s wedding day.

Chris, Nicole and I met up with the couple for their First Look at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown.   It was a gorgeous day and as we spent a few moments with Mark as he waited for his bride-to-be, I knew it was going to be a day that would touch all of our hearts.

Mark is a tall, quiet kind of guy who seemed very nervous, yet excited about the day.  When Kelsey came up behind him, he turned and just the look they had for each other said it all.  There were few words exchanged in that moment, but words were not necessary.

That theme continued throughout the day; few words, little stress, and just a sense of “this is how it’s supposed to be”.  My favorite part was seeing all of Kelsey’s former team mates rocking and “rolling” out on the dance floor at the end of the night.  If Mark and Kelsey handle their life together with the grace and peace they had on their wedding day, they will have that wonderful life many of us dream of.
