I say it a million times a year but we are truly blessed with some of the most amazing clients. Kelsey and James are definitely one of our coolest, most laid back couples of 2014. A few months ago, James was hoping we could nail a great snowy day for their engagement images, however we couldn’t snatch one up that had the perfect snow on a date and time that worked, so a springtime Pinchot Park session was planned.
Julia, Jason and I met up with the couple for a neat collaboration of greenery, water scenery, and rock structures for back drops and shared a ton of laughs and talked more details of James and Kelsey’s wedding and honeymoon. Although I personally will be missing out on their September wedding, I know Jason and Julia will have an absolute blast capturing their wedding day and kick ass celebratory party!

Eliza & Chris Engagement
With many of our couples residing outside of the central PA area, we rely on Skype or Facetime to get to know one another. What’s great about these sessions is we usually get to meet our couple’s four legged friends too. Eliza and Chris have two adorable pups, Peanut and Chewie, who were not shy about their video conference skills. These two teachers share not only a love for their pups, but for the outdoors, family, and each other.
We met up at a local (and gorgeous) park near their home in Wilmington, DE for some late fall fun, including a few props to dress up the images a bit! One of my favorites was a sign Eliza made featuring the pups saying “Our Humans are Getting Married!”. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect session with such amazing people!
Ashley & Michael Engagement
Bridal Shows. If you’ve ever been to one or are considering attending one, it can be either an awesome experience when meeting your perfect vendor or horrifying when stuck talking to a vendor who you know you’re definitely not interested in. From a photographer perspective it’s a bag of mixed feelings, mostly excitement, depending on the show. For me, I get so nervous! If you’ve met us, Jason can speak to anyone (I blame his training back ground) but myself.. I get so excited about what we do.. it just turns to word jumbles when I open my mouth.. until I get into my pattern of speaking. If you’ve talked to us, you most likely heard me say at a show.. “I’m a photographer, not a sales person” aka I’m the first person to recommend ways for our clients to save money! Hey, weddings can be expensive:)
We met Ashley and Michael a few months ago at a wedding show and absolutely loved these two! Their story was just heartwarming and almost something out of a movie to the point that Mr. McClain wrote in their consultation notes to “Blog this Shit”. One of the things I love the most about this super sweet couple is how darn unique they are! They pitched us an idea for their engagement session of doing a “D&D” style theme, complete with props and a paper dragon. With collaboration, the final result was amazing, complete with some Photoshop magic! I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding next year to create more beautiful and unique images! Congrats you two!
Francesca & Matt Engagement
Scott and I met up with Francesca and Matt for their engagement session at Memorial Lake in Lebanon. Enjoying the outdoors, this gorgeous couple chose this location and gave us some great ideas of special spots to photograph at. Their favorite was a big old tree in one of the clearings near the lake. I always love to capture special places or moments for couples! It gives meaning to that photo more than if it is just a random snap shot.
As the session went on we discussed a little bit about their wedding plans and let me just say it’s going to be amazing! I can’t wait to be part of their day!
Rachel & Brady Engagement
We’re often asked by potential clients if we travel for sessions.. simply YES! We love to travel regardless of from Harrisburg to Lancaster, DC or out of state. Many of our couples actually live outside of the central PA area which is awesome hearing about their experiences that have taken some out of the state or reasons they’re returning for his/her wedding day.
Rachel contacted us about her laid back yet serenely planned wedding in 2014 to her handsome husband to be, Brady. Both currently residing in Washington, D.C., it was important to include their fur kid, 10 year old Cocker Spaniel Autumn, who was one of the sweetest pups we’ve ever photographed. The location chosen was Meridian Park, which is stunning as far as city parks go with large ponds, fountains and structures. We couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better couple to share it with. Congratulations Rachel and Brady and see you guys next year!
Chi & Cory Engagement
Chi and Cory are one of our luckiest clients… Last year at a local bridal show Chi won an entire wedding package- Venue, Flowers, DJ, Cake.. another photographer.. everything! Talk about the wedding jackpot! We were thrilled when Chi and Cory opted to have us capture their wedding. With the blending of cultures, the couple wanted both casual images and photographs that portray a bit of the Thai culture so location wise, we aimed for something a bit outside of the norm with the Pagoda in Reading. The end result.. something pretty awesome!
